A very clean hotel in an excellent location, the only downside is the entrance to the hotel as reception is on the 1st floor you feel as if you are coming in the workers entrance.
Top Tip
The area is full of lovely bars and restaurants, taxis are very cheap

We have stayed in 3 Tryp Hotels in Madrid and this one is the best so far. Good size room, central location, no complaints.
Top Tip
Visit in December to see how Christmas should be celebrated - the lights are amazing, the christmas fair, the people, the Christmas cribs set up in shop windows - just enjoy!

Its a good idea to keep the air-con on at night.
Sometimes there are a few early morning emergency vehicle sirens going which may wake you. The rooms do have 2 sets of glazing, so most street noise from the Grand Via is cut off.
Just a short walk from the puerto de sol. The hubbub of Madrid. A bit further takes you to Opera, where it's a bit quieter, and more relaxed.
Top Tip
Try the Cafe d' Oriente next to the royal palace for a lovely meal with any number of local accordion players wandering up and down.

The entrance is just off the Gran Via. It's centrally based for easy walking access to all the main sights. We had a room that looked inwards and was amazingly quiet for a hotel on the Gran Via. The breakfasts were superb with serving up to 11am so no need to rise too early. Excellent all round.

Room was a bit noisy as we faced the Gran Via, but having a balcony was worth it
