Opened in October 2003, the Dos Castillas Hotel is housed in a traditional corner building, with an attractive yellow and beige façade. Inside, the public areas proudly display the heritage of one of Madrid’s oldest barrios, with stained-glass roofs and Mudejar-style mouldings. Though fairly small, the 62 guestrooms are pleasant and comfortable, with neutral décor, complemented by parquet floors, check-patterned bed linen and a writing desk. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the en suite marble bathrooms, with bathtub, heated towel rack and make-up mirror. The hotel also offers a Continental style buffet every morning in its welcoming breakfast room.
