The Emperador Hotel is housed in a traditional, 12-storey corner building with an ornate, curved façade crowned by highly decorated cornices. The plush, split level lobby features marble floors, pillars and an ample seating area furnished with comfortable chaises longues. The 232 guestrooms are decorated in rich red tones, complemented by 19th century Spanish-style furniture and chandeliers. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but there’s a snack bar beside the pool, a wood panelled piano bar with a pool table and a breakfast room where a Continental buffet is offered every morning. Guests can also enjoy the rooftop swimming pool, which offers superb views of Madrid during the summer months.
