Built in 1955 and renovated in 1997, the Tryp Washington Hotel is housed in tall, narrow terraced block with a brown and white façade. The medium sized lobby is appointed in a functional but pleasant style. The 120 guestrooms feature fairly plain décor, complemented by parquet floors and colourful bed linens. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms. Guests can relax after a busy day in the lounge bar. The hotel shares a restaurant and other facilities with the adjacent Tryp Menfis. There is also car parking just 50 metres from the hotel where special rates are given to hotel guests.
