The Best Western Carlos V Hotel is a family-run property housed in a modest but attractive 5-storey terraced building, adorned with wrought iron balconies. Dating from the early 20th century, the property was last refurbished in 2000. The lobby is appointed in an elegant, ultra-traditional style, right down to the chandeliers, murals and suit of armour. The 67 guestrooms are somewhat plainer in décor, with dark wood furniture, but well appointed and comfortable none the less. All are clean and well equipped, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a Continental buffet every morning in its first floor breakfast room, which features impressive wooden floors and moulded ceilings. During the summer months breakfast can also be taken on the pleasant rooftop terrace.
