The El Prado Hotel is housed in a somewhat unprepossessing 6-storey block with a brownstone façade. The interior is appointed in a simple, modern style. Though not spacious, the elongated lobby offers a fresh, inviting atmosphere on arrival, with a vending machine and Internet corner. The rest of the property features much more interesting décor, each floor being dedicated a different region of Spain and each of the 47 guestrooms being named after a different type of wine-producing grape. This unusual motif aside, the spacious, soundproof accommodation is attractively appointed with parquetry floors, pale yellow walls and partitions. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms. There’s also a small but attractive dining room, where guests can enjoy a Continental buffet breakfast every morning.
